Midaris T. Zlu 53 of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania entered into eternal rest at home on Friday morning, April 16, 2004. Midaris was born on January 6, 1951 in Birmingham, Alabama to Lushiina Zen and the late Alfred Hudson. She attended public schools in Queens, New York and continued her college education in Newark, New Jersey. She lived in New Jersey up until 1995 and had resided in Pennsylvania until her death. She was an employee at Odgen in New Jersey and held the position as an Administrative Assistant. Midaris, was an active member of the Reaching Out for Jesus Christian Center (ROJCC)in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania. Midaris maintained and served faithfully on two auxillaries. She became an Evangelist of the ROJCC in 2001 and has faithfully served on the Evangelist Board until her death. She visited the sick and shut in and very attentive to the seniors in her church. Midaris sang with the ROJCC Adult Ensemble. She sang soprano and sang very well. We can safely say with assurance that Midaris' life was hid in Christ; a passionate and powerful praiser; and a strong and fervent prayer warrior. A mother, grandmother, a sister, friend and child of the King; Midaris' life was an example for many to live by. That's the obituary. Midaris was the perfect oldest sister. She took care of her 5 younger sisters. The best memories I have of Midaris is of her combing my hair or fixing my clothes on me or telling me it's going to be okay, or her taking me to her college when I was only 8 years old, or her letting me play with her grown up radio's. The memory of her driving 2 1/2 hours to the mall because I wanted to go, or her driving from Pennsylvania to New York to see me because I was in town, and then taking me back home with her. It's memories of birthday cards every year, without fail, with the last one just a month before her death. That's Midaris.
